Hiroko, Ake, Nami and my personal favourite Chika shot this scene immediately after "Pie in the Face Uno" on their first-ever pie shoot--which was also Pied Asian Girls first-ever pie shoot. So, these four cute, funny, super-energetic girls had just finished playing a game where they all lost their pie-in-the-face virginity, and this video, "Not 31, " is them warmed up, feeling comfortable, and ramping up the mess.

The girls didn't hit the showers before this scene, so they're still covered in cream (so are the walls and the floor!). But they've cleaned their faces, so they're ready to play the Not 31 game. The idea is that they start counting out loud around the circle. Each girl can choose to add one to three numbers as they count. For example, if Nami starts, she has her choice of saying "one, " "one, two, " or "one, two, three." If Nami says "one, two, three, " Chika might then say "four, five, " then Hiroko might just say "six, " then Ake might say "seven, eight, nine, " and so on. Finally, the girl who has to say "thirty-one" immediately gets hit in the face with pies by all the others!

The game is simple, but the girls make it really, really fun. They've been friends since childhood, so they have no qualms about pounding each other with those whipped cream pies. They're also natural comedians and they know how to milk all the humour out of the situation. They're also all really cute, and it's pretty awesome to see them just obliterated with cream by the others when they lose.

It should be noted that they do ignore the rules in a couple of places and just give their friend or sister an unexpected face full of whipped cream. The dialogue is all in Japanese, but I've done my best to add subtitles on important or funny lines.

And for my fellow foot fans, there's no focus on the girls' feet in this scene, just a couple of camera pans downward. But as always, the girls happily went barefoot for the shoot.
